India Post GDS Schedule-II 2026 (apply 2–21 September) needs a JPEG passport photo 320×400 px, 30–100 KB, and a signature 300×120 px, 20–100 KB on indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement. Resize here before OTR fee payment — rejected uploads are a common reason candidates miss 21 Sep 5 pm.

GDS photo is wider than SSC: 30–100 KB (not 20–50 KB) at 320×400 px. Signature 20–100 KB at 300×120 px. JPEG/JPG only. Confirm against notification 17-12/2026-GDS before paying ₹100. Re-check the active PDF on indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement before you pay the fee.

Photo tips for India Post GDS

  • GDS फोटो साइज: 320×400 px, 30–100 KB, JPEG, light background, ears visible, no cap or sunglasses.
  • Face should fill most of the 320×400 frame — WhatsApp forwards and cropped ID scans are rejected.
  • Do not use an SSC 20–50 KB file; GDS minimum is 30 KB and the portal may reject undersized JPEGs.

Signature tips

  • Sign on white A4 paper with black or blue ballpoint pen, scan flat without notebook lines, then compress to the signature KB cap.
  • Sign in black/blue ink on white paper, scan landscape 300×120 px, keep 20–100 KB.
  • No ruled-notebook lines, date, or name printed under the signature.

How to resize for India Post GDS

  1. Open the GDS descriptive notification PDF and note photo 320×400 px / 30–100 KB and sign 300×120 px / 20–100 KB.
  2. Take a recent colour passport photo; crop to 320×400 before compressing.
  3. Compress photo to 30–100 KB and signature to 20–100 KB in the tool above (JPEG only).
  4. Upload on indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement during the 2–21 Sep 2026 window, then check the portal preview.
  5. Save the same files for the 23–24 September correction window and document verification.

Common mistakes on India Post GDS forms

  • Uploading an SSC-style 20–50 KB photo (GDS minimum is 30 KB).
