Photo tips for SSC CGL

  • SSC's ssc.gov.in portal shows a live file-size readout — compress to the middle of the allowed KB band so a re-save does not push you over the max.
  • Use a plain white or light-coloured background; SSC sample images show ears visible and no cap or sunglasses.
  • SSC CGL Tier-I registration and document verification use the same photograph — export one JPEG and reuse it for all SSC modules in the cycle.

Signature tips

  • Sign on white A4 paper with black or blue ballpoint pen, scan flat without notebook lines, then compress to the signature KB cap.
