Word to PDF — convert DOCX files in your browser

Turn Microsoft Word documents into PDF before uploading to job portals, university systems, or e-government sites. Conversion runs entirely in your browser — your resume, cover letter, and contracts never leave your device.

100% client-side — files never leave this tab

Supported:DOCX

Word 2007+ · max 15.0 MB · complex layouts may simplify.

How to convert Word to PDF

  1. Choose a .docx file — drag it onto the drop zone or click Choose .docx. Legacy .doc files must be saved as .docx in Word first.
  2. Convert — click Convert to PDF. The tool renders your document in-browser and builds a PDF.
  3. Download — save the PDF and upload it wherever a PDF is required.

Why convert locally instead of uploading?

Most “Word to PDF” sites send your file to a remote server. Bodhixt keeps everything on your device:

  • Private — ideal for resumes, offer letters, and medical forms.
  • No account — open the page and convert immediately.
  • Works on any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari on desktop and many phones.
  • No watermark — the output is a standard PDF you own.

Common use cases

  • Job applications — SSC, UPSC, banking, and private portals often reject .docx and require PDF.
  • University admissions — statement of purpose, assignments, or scholarship forms.
  • Rent & lease — landlords and property portals ask for PDF agreements.
  • Freelance & contracts — share a non-editable copy with clients.
  • Visa & immigration — supporting letters and employment documents as PDF attachments.

Typical workflows with other PDF tools

GoalSteps
Resume + certificates in one uploadWord to PDF → Merge PDF with scans
Portal says file too largeConvert → Compress PDF
Cover letter in Word, ID as photosJPG to PDF → Merge PDF with your Word export
Password-locked source PDFRemove PDF password first, then merge

Limitations to know

  • .docx only — older binary .doc format is not supported; use Word’s Save As → Word Document (.docx).
  • Complex layouts — tables, text boxes, and custom fonts may simplify compared to Microsoft Word’s own export.
  • 15 MB cap — very large documents with many images may hit the browser limit; compress images in Word first.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded? No. The document is read and converted inside your browser tab only.

Does it work on mobile? Yes on modern phones, though large files may be slower on low-RAM devices.

Can I convert PDF back to Word? This tool is one-way (Word → PDF). Use a dedicated PDF editor for the reverse.

Will hyperlinks stay clickable? Basic links in the source document are usually preserved; test the output before submitting to a portal.

Google Docs / LibreOffice files? Download as .docx from your editor, then convert here — do not upload .odt or .gdoc directly.
