Split PDF — one file per page (ZIP download)

Split a multi-page PDF into individual files when a portal accepts only one page per upload, or when you need to email a single page. Processing uses a Web Worker on your device — nothing is sent to a server.

100% client-side — files never leave this tab

Supported:PDF

Split into one file per page, or extract selected pages. Max 300 pages · 80.0 MB.

How to split a PDF

  1. Upload your PDF — drag the file onto the zone or use Select PDF (max 300 pages).
  2. Choose pages — click thumbnails to include or exclude pages; pick ZIP (one file per page) or extract to a single PDF.
  3. Split — download the ZIP or extracted PDF, then upload what your form requires.

When to split instead of merge

  • One page per field — many government and job portals reject multi-page uploads in a single slot.
  • Size limits — a 40-page scan may exceed the portal cap; individual pages often pass.
  • Selective sharing — send only page 3 (bank statement) without exposing the full document.
  • Wrong page order — split, reorder files on disk, then Merge PDF in the correct sequence.

Common portal patterns

Portal ruleWhat to do
“Upload one page only”Split → upload the matching page file
“Max 2 MB per document”Split → Compress PDF on heavy pages
“Photo + signature separate fields”Split a merged scan, or build from JPG to PDF instead
“PDF password required to open”Split first, then Remove PDF password on each file if needed

Why split in the browser?

  • No cloud storage — tax returns, ID proofs, and medical records stay local.
  • Instant ZIP — no queue, no email link, no account.
  • Free — no daily limits or paywalls on Bodhixt.
  • Quality preserved — pages are copied from the source PDF without recompression.

Frequently asked questions

Are pages numbered in the ZIP? Yes — filenames follow page order so you can match them to form fields.

Is there a page limit? Up to 300 pages per run. Very large files may slow your device because processing happens in memory locally.

Can I split only some pages? Yes — deselect pages you do not need, or use Extract to one PDF to keep selected pages in a single file.

Does splitting reduce quality? No — page content is copied as-is from the source PDF.

Sideways pages in the ZIP? Fix orientation with Rotate PDF on the original before splitting, or rotate each single-page file after splitting.
