About the roleOur client is a BSP-regulated digital bank scaling our SME and partner-originated lending business. We move fast, we use data, and we're building credit infrastructure that didn't exist in traditional banking. This isn't a legacy bank role, they expect you to be comfortable with AI-assisted workflows, changing policies, and tight turnaround pressures.

As SME Credit Manager, you will own end-to-end credit evaluation for SME and partner-originated loan applications, lead and develop a small but growing credit team, and sit as a key voice in credit committee deliberations. You will work closely with fintech partners, loan originators, and internal risk, operations, and collections teams. Who thrives hereYou've lived inside a fast-paced fintech or digital bank. You're not afraid of ambiguity.

You make sharp credit decisions under pressure, and you know how to write a CER that stands on its own in a credit committee. You're curious about how AI and automation can improve the way credit teams work and you're ready to help build that. Key responsibilitiesCredit evaluation & risk managementLead end-to-end evaluation of SME and partner-referred loan applications: borrower background, financial condition, business model, repayment capacity, and collateral.

Analyze financial statements, bank statements, and cash flow data to assess liquidity, profitability, and leverage ratios. Prepare Credit Evaluation Reports (CERs) with detailed risk identification and clear credit recommendations. Recommend appropriate loan terms, pricing, risk mitigants, and credit structures aligned with the bank's risk appetite and partner agreements. Identify early warning signals and escalate accounts requiring remedial or preventive action.

Team leadership & credit committeeManage and develop a team of credit analysts, credit officers, and AML/KYC officers — set KPIs, run performance reviews, and coach for quality. Present and endorse evaluated cases to the Credit Committee or senior management, with clear risk position and decision logic. Build and maintain high credit standards across the team — accuracy, turnaround time, SLA compliance, and regulatory adherence.

Partner coordination & FLDG monitoringCoordinate with partner originators and fintechs for document completeness, clarifications, and exception handling under Third-Party Reliance (TPR) arrangements. Ensure credit evaluation is aligned with partner program parameters and FLDG

requirements. Monitor FLDG loss coverage and escalate to Finance and senior management when thresholds are at risk. Compliance, portfolio & processEnsure compliance with BSP MORB, AMLA, and internal credit policies at every stage of the credit lifecycle. Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency trends, sectoral exposure, and early warning indicators. Validate post-approval compliance: collateral perfection, insurance, documentation completeness.

Actively contribute to credit automation, AI workflow adoption, and process improvement initiatives. Support renewals, restructurings, and remedial management in coordination with collections and operations. QualificationsFilipino national7–10 years in credit with the majority in hands-on SME underwriting, partner-originated lending, or digital/fintech credit operations.

You should have spent meaningful time in a fast-moving fintech or digital bank environment, not just legacy banking.
