Job SummaryThe Guidance Counselor is responsible for providing comprehensive guidance and counseling services that support the personal, social, emotional, academic, and career development of students. The role conducts individual and group counseling sessions, implements guidance programs, manages student referrals and interventions, and maintains student records to promote student well-being and academic success.

The Guidance Counselor also collaborates with faculty, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate support for students. Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling and GuidanceConduct individual and group counseling sessions for students with academic, behavioral, emotional, and personal concerns. Provide routine interviews, follow-up sessions, referrals, and intervention programs for students requiring guidance services.

Monitor students on academic probation and those identified with special guidance needs. Develop and facilitate group guidance programs, orientations, and psychoeducational activities. Conduct initial interviews for incoming freshmen and transferees as part of the admissions process. Student Support and EngagementDisseminate guidance-related information through orientations, classroom visits, seminars, and student campaigns.

Collaborate with parents, faculty members, and academic units regarding student concerns and appropriate interventions. Support enrollment activities by providing quality customer service that contributes to student satisfaction, enrollment, and retention. Records Management and ReportingPrepare and submit required reports, including semestral, activity, counseling, and referral reports. Maintain, update, and safeguard student counseling records and personal information.

Gather and maintain student data to support guidance interventions, monitoring, and institutional reporting. Assist during accreditation visits by preparing and submitting required guidance-related documents. QualificationsEducational AttainmentMaster's Degree in Guidance and Counseling. LicensureRegistered Guidance Counselor (RGC). Work ExperienceAt least one (1) year of experience providing guidance and counseling services, preferably in an educational institution.
