We are currently looking for talented individuals to join us for the role of Regulatory Compliance Engineer (7 months Contract, extendable). We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia. Role Purpose: Executing and supporting the activities related to implementation of Regulatory Compliance framework, including those related to Systems and Processes, Technical Support, Training, and Audits/Inspections.
This includes execution and application of processes specifically tailored for Regulatory Compliance, providing specialized technical support to meet the RC
requirements across all impacted projects/departments, implementation and maintenance of regulatory
requirements management software, preparing and implementing training courses related to the Regulatory Compliance area, participation in and conducting the Regulatory Compliance Audits and Inspections. This is to support Gato do Mato project - Looking at 7 months contract with potential extension for upcoming projects or corporate support.
Key AccountabilitiesProcedures and StandardsPrepare and update Corporate Guidelines / Procedures within Regulatory Compliance framework to steer projects. Support a gap analysis between relevant Corporate Standards and Specifications and applicable regulatory
requirements. Regulatory Compliance Systems and ProcessesImplement Regulatory Compliance strategy and related management system and define Regulatory Compliance processes. Support assessment of the efficiency and sustainability of Regulatory Compliance actions, evidence, and controls, collect regulatory‑related lessons and other outcomes from projects. Manage and oversee the regulatory
requirements for projects and associated software. Maintain the database, processes, and systems with all necessary regulatory documents and ensure their dissemination to relevant projects and departments. Regulatory Technical SupportSince the Proposal Phase, provide technical expertise and support across all functions to ensure project’s compliance with all applicable regulatory
requirements, collaborating with responsible personnel across multiple departments, including Engineering, CIC, Procurement, Project Quality, Pre‑Operations, and Operations. Review and update applicable regulatory
requirements considering changes in regulations, inform affected projects about the updates. Arrange/offer technical expertise on the latest regulations and ensure that all applicable regulatory
requirements are comprehended by the pertinent project/department. Incorporate the
requirements into technical specifications and other documents for equipment packages, develop related checklists and other corporate processes as required. Assisting the MODEC Technical Authorities to ensure design and equipment regulatory compliance. Regulatory Compliance Audits/InspectionsConduct/observe the internal audits to ensure projects’ compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines.
Support and monitor corrective and preventive actions on audits and inspections’ findings. Provide technical support to projects during External (Client, Regulatory Authority) Regulatory Compliance Audits and Inspections. Regulatory Compliance Training and DevelopmentPrepare course materials for Regulatory Compliance Trainings, coordinating with Talent Management.
Support the training needs survey to determine the necessary training and development measures for the annual training plan. Support corporate and project Regulatory Compliance trainings. Performance Monitoring and Reporting KPIMonitor and report KPIs related to Regulatory Compliance. QualificationsMin. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other field related to HSSE (preferably Industrial Safety, Environmental)Desirable: Post Graduate
qualifications in Process Safety or HSSE DisciplineMinimum 5 years of related industry experience, preferably in Oil and Gas Upstream EPCI ProjectsMinimum 2 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance processes and/or implementation of HSEQ management systemsLarge experience in technical support focused on the interpretation and implementation of regulations in all phases of the project (Design, Construction, Commissioning)Competencies TechnicalStrong knowledge of relevant regulationsTechnical knowledge of specific standards related to equipment and facilities utilized in Oil and Gas Upstream.
Experience with the legal
requirements management softwareStrong analytical research and writing skills with a demonstrated ability to research and analyze law and regulatory
requirements. Possesses strong problem‑solving skills, is organized at work and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and occasional ambiguous situation. Ability to liaise and communicate with employees and management staff at all levels. Desirable: Knowledge of Brazilian Occupational Health and Safety, Operational Safety regulations supervised by ANP, CONAMA, IBAMA, etc.
OR Australian Industrial Safety and Environmental regulations supervised by NOPSEMA, AMSA, DAFF etc. OR other complex regulatory framework for Oil and Gas Upstream EPCI ProjectsDesirable: Knowledge of Power BI and associate tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr. Compensation: 60 - 80.
