What You’ll Be Doing: Position summary Evolent is looking for bright and energetic individuals to be a StaffSenior AccountantEssential functionsOwn the India GAAP financial statements and audit schedulesManage the local AP, AR teams and work with onshore teams to ensure that India GAAP financial statements are true and fairReview payroll activity for the monthReview other ad-hoc activity during the month to ensure that the month-end numbers are true and fairLead the statutory audit including but not limited to testing, query resolution and financial statement updationReview data required for notes to accounts disclosuresLead the tax auditsWork with transfer pricing consultants to ensure a smooth transfer pricing processSupport the Evolent internal audit teamAssist the Controller with budgeting and forecasting processesLiase and own global accounting tasks assigned to the offshore team including but not limited to accruals, AP/ AR invoicing, revenue recognitionAssist the controller in hiring efforts to expand the offshore finance operationsReview balance sheet reconciliations prepared for US GAAP on a monthly basisEnsure that all tasks for month end close are completed correctly and on time as per global close calendarsOversee the local compliances including but not limited to:Revenue reportingAdvance tax computation and paymentsSTPI complianceGST returnsPayroll compliances like PT, PF, TDS, LWF etcAll other statutory returns and paymentsTax assessmentsSupport ad hoc requests for preparing and providing information as and when required by statutory authorities Key competencies/skill/success factors:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, and the ability to influence others. Strong project management skills and experience with a proven history of results. Managing multiple priorities simultaneously through strong prioritization, and organization skills. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.

Significant practical experience in delineating between SOX and non-SOX controls and objectivesQualification and Experience:RequiredAt least 4-6 years of prior business experience, preferably with Big 4 or with the finance department in a multi-national companyStrong local GAAP and US GAAP accounting knowledgeHands-on with local compliance and regulationsTo ensure a secure hiring process we have implemented several identity verification steps, including submission of a government issued photo ID.
