With guest rooms, restaurants, meeting facilities, public areas, and back-of-house operations depending on dependable water systems, prompt technical intervention is essential.

The position combines planned preventive maintenance with responsive repairs and independent troubleshooting. Particular attention is required for water conservation, leakage prevention, equipment condition, workmanship quality, and rapid resolution of faults that could affect guests or hotel operations. Key ResponsibilitiesExecute plumbing installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair work to professional hotel engineering standards.

Inspect plumbing systems and identify faults affecting water supply, drainage, fixtures, piping, or associated equipment. Carry out preventive maintenance activities according to established engineering schedules. Complete daily engineering and plumbing checklists accurately and report outstanding technical concerns. Diagnose plumbing problems systematically and determine efficient corrective action.

Respond promptly to leaks, blockages, defective fixtures, pipe failures, and other plumbing-related issues. Work with PPR plumbing systems and perform appropriate installation, joining, maintenance, and repair activities. Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, layouts, and maintenance information relevant to assigned work. Complete assigned technical tasks independently while maintaining required workmanship and safety standards.

Participate with engineering colleagues in major preventive maintenance, repair, and servicing activities. Coordinate effectively with other maintenance disciplines when plumbing work forms part of a wider engineering repair. Identify opportunities to improve maintenance methods, procedures, and systems for greater efficiency. Analyze recurring faults and recommend practical measures that reduce repeat failures and operational disruption.

Maintain plumbing tools and workshop equipment in safe and serviceable condition. Control workshop stock, monitor consumption of plumbing materials, and request replenishment when required. Use materials responsibly to minimize unnecessary consumption and maintenance waste. Support hotel water conservation objectives by identifying leaks, inefficient fixtures, and avoidable water losses.

Contribute to responsible energy and water consumption as part of the property 's environmental practices. Support waste reduction, sustainable purchasing, and environmental compliance

requirements relevant to engineering activities. Follow fire, hygiene, occupational health, and safety procedures during all maintenance work. Maintain safe working conditions and report hazards or technical risks requiring further attention. Follow established operational standards and engineering procedures. Attend departmental briefings to remain informed about maintenance priorities and daily hotel activities. Participate in scheduled technical and operational training.

Share practical plumbing knowledge with colleagues and support the development of less experienced team members. Maintain awareness of hotel facilities, services, and operational activities when working in guest-facing areas. Coordinate respectfully with housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, and other departments when maintenance affects their operations. Maintain professional grooming and appropriate conduct while working throughout the hotel.

Complete additional engineering duties reasonably assigned according to operational

requirements. Ideal ProfileCandidates should possess a professional qualification in plumbing or a related technical field together with at least 3 years of practical experience in plumbing installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. A solid understanding of mechanical and technical systems associated with plumbing applications is required.

Experience with PPR piping and familiarity with plumbing systems used in hotels, residential properties, commercial buildings, or comparable facilities will be particularly useful. Applicants should be able to read technical drawings and specifications and apply relevant plumbing codes, safety

requirements, and regulatory standards during maintenance activities. The position requires a methodical technician capable of diagnosing problems, prioritizing urgent repairs, and completing work to a consistently high standard with limited supervision. Teamwork is equally important during larger maintenance activities involving multiple engineering disciplines.
