Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – AI & Financial Intelligence

A venture-backed company on a mission to redefine how intelligence, decision-making, and AI intersect within financial services. The business is building a next-generation platform leveraging advanced AI, probabilistic reasoning, agentic systems, and deep financial intelligence to solve some of the most complex challenges in modern markets.

They are now seeking a Chief Technology Officer to become a core part of the leadership team and help architect what could become a category-defining company. As CTO, you won’t inherit a mature engineering organisation. You’ll help build it. You’ll work directly alongside the Founder and executive team to define technology strategy, architect the platform, recruit elite talent, and turn ambitious ideas into scalable products.

What You’ll Own Define and execute the company’s technology vision and long-term architecture Lead the development of advanced AI-driven products and platforms Build and scale engineering, AI, and data teams Drive innovation across agentic AI, reasoning systems, LLMs, knowledge architectures, and intelligent decision-support systems Partner closely with founders, investors, and strategic stakeholders Establish engineering culture, technical standards, and delivery excellence Translate cutting-edge research into commercially valuable products Serve as a key voice in shaping company strategy, growth, and market positioning.

The Ideal Candidate Deep expertise in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Quantitative Research, or a related discipline. Advanced academic credentials (PhD or Master’s preferred). Experience architecting complex technology platforms from the ground up. Strong background in financial services, capital markets, investment platforms, banking, or quantitative environments. Proven track record of scaling products, platforms, and engineering organisations.

Ability to move seamlessly between strategy, architecture, product, and execution. Exceptional communication skills and executive presence. Who You Are Has high urgency and takes ownership.
