Lecturer or Senior Lecturer & Discipline Lead – Information Technology

About the RoleMurdoch University Dubai is seeking an academic Lecturer (LevelB) or Senior Lecturer (LevelC) and Discipline Lead in Information Technology. The role provides academic leadership of the Information Technology portfolio, delivering high‑quality teaching, contributing to research and creative practice, industry engagement, and student success.

The incumbent will support curriculum delivery and innovation, accreditation alignment, and the continued growth of the Information Technology discipline. As Discipline Lead the position carries a 20% workload allocation and focuses on curriculum innovation, portfolio growth, accreditation alignment, and strategic development of the discipline in line with the university’s strategic goals.

ResponsibilitiesLead teaching, assessment and curriculum delivery in Information Technology at levelB orC. Deliver research or creative practice appropriate to the discipline and career stage. Provide academic leadership and coordination as Discipline Lead, including curriculum innovation and portfolio growth. Engage with industry partners to enhance student success and professional relevance. Support accreditation alignment and compliance with university standards.

Collaborate with colleagues in Dubai and Perth to promote cross‑campus excellence. QualificationsDoctoral degree (PhD) in Information Technology or a related discipline. Experience in tertiary teaching, assessment and curriculum delivery. Evidence of research and/or creative practice relevant to the discipline. Experience in academic leadership or coordination.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a multicultural, transnational environment.
