The Technical Sales Engineer/Specialist is a supporting role of our Engineering and Sales Support Teams. These teams are responsible for providing pre- and post-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions.

This role will be reporting to the Engineered Solution Supervisor of our Water Infrastructure – Transport division. In this role, the incumbent will work closely with sales, customer support, and project management teams to support customers. We offer a full

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Basic knowledge of required systems and products including creating and interpreting engineering drawings, production specifications, and testing protocols using either CAD (computer-aided drafting), CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) or CAE (computer-aided engineering) systems. Reviewing and interpreting tender documents with attention to detail, technical specifications, product datasheets, and proposal-related documents.

SOFT SKILLS: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey ideas to technical and non-technical audiences. Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative team player who can build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners.

Confident and professional presence, with the ability to present information effectively in meetings and customer interactions. Solid project management skills, including planning, coordination, and follow-through to ensure successful outcomes. CORE

RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able toperform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Provide product and application expertise, design support, technical drawing support, etc. · Aid Application Engineers and Sales, who are responsible for providing a detailed review of all technical documentation for a project including specifications, plans, drawings, etc. Ensures the proposal is technically viable, and feasible.

· Work in collaboration with third party vendors to ensure the customer

requirements are fully met.· Work closely with the party who requested post sale support to gain deeper understanding of request and scope the need.· Support the project managers in providing technical solutions to the customers and Engineers.· Provide support to the application engineers in conducting application training for customer service and operations.· Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS:· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required· 0-3+ years of relevant experience. · Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Preferred

Qualifications:· Knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulics; pneumatics; water flow; diesel, gas, and electric motors. The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
