PracticalitiesWork mode: Hybrid, based in Sweden, with regular travel to sites and to HelsinkiLevel: SeniorEmployment type: Full time and permanentAbout the roleAs Business Development Manager / Country Manager you own Verda's expansion into Sweden end to end: finding and securing colocation and data center capacity, structuring the commercial and legal terms behind it, and making sure each project lands on time, on budget, and operationally ready.

You sit at the intersection of legal, finance, procurement, construction, and operations, and you are the person leadership looks to for the status and the decision. This is a ground floor role: you are not executing someone else's playbook, you are writing it. As Verda's Swedish footprint matures, the role is built to grow into full country level ownership.

8+ years in infrastructure, real estate, energy, telecoms, or construction, with direct experience delivering complex capital projectsProven track record structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial contracts and leases with multiple stakeholdersStrong financial literacy: able to build and challenge investment cases, models, and business plansWorking knowledge of the Swedish legal, regulatory, permitting, and real estate environmentComfortable making decisions independently in a fast moving, scaling environmentFluent Swedish and English, spoken and writtenComfortable working across time zones with remote international teamsNice to haveData center or hyperscale colocation experience, including power and connectivity negotiationExperience opening a new market or entity for an international companyExisting network among Swedish landlords, developers, utilities, or municipalities #J-18808-Ljbffr.
