Information Technology Technical Specialist

Baker Tilly Qatar is seeking a skilled and service-oriented IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reliable and timely technical support to employees across the organization. The role will involve troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system-related issues, while also supporting user access, IT assets, onboarding and offboarding, information security, and IT improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities: Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues. Respond to IT incidents and service requests within agreed service levels. Provide remote and on-site technical support as required. Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.

Install and configure operating systems, applications, security software, and business applications. Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications. Troubleshoot basic network, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet, and connectivity issues. Support user account creation, modification, deactivation, password resets, and access permissions. Assist with Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID administration.

Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including IT equipment, system access, and account setup/recovery. Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records. Support IT security controls, system updates, and cybersecurity

requirements. Identify and report potential information security incidents in accordance with company procedures. Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues when required. Maintain records of IT incidents, service requests, equipment, and technical activities. Support IT projects, system implementations, upgrades, and technology improvements. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user guides.

Identify opportunities to improve IT support processes and the overall employee technology experience.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, ITIL, or equivalent is an advantage. Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365. Knowledge of Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi.

Good understanding of IT security and data protection principles. 2-4 years of relevant experience in IT technical support, IT helpdesk, system support, or a similar role. Previous experience providing technical support to multiple users in a professional or corporate environment. Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and Microsoft 365 issues. Experience working with external IT service providers and vendors is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr.
