About the Role We are seeking a skilled RCM Specialist to manage the complete revenue cycle operations for psychiatry and behavioral health services within the U. S. healthcare system. This is an on‑site opportunity, so we require someone who has reliable transport to commute to work.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the end‑to‑end billing lifecycle, including claim preparation and submission, denial management, accounts receivable (AR) follow‑ups, and payment posting. Success in this role requires strong expertise in psychiatry billing codes, insurance guidelines, and medical billing systems, along with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.
Key
Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims for psychiatry and behavioral health services, including therapy sessions, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations Ensure correct usage of CPT, ICD‑10, and HCPCS codes, with specific expertise in psychiatry codes such as 90791, 90833, 90834, 90837, 99213, and 99214 Submit electronic and paper claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid Perform AR follow‑ups and manage aged claims to ensure timely reimbursement Investigate, resolve, and resubmit denied or rejected claims by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Post payments using ERA/EOBs, reconcile billing records, and apply appropriate adjustments or write‑offs Collaborate with providers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing or incomplete documentation Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and psychiatry billing
requirements Generate billing and performance reports and support team leadership with tracking and analysis
Requirements Intermediate/A‑Levels or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred) At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in U. S.
Mental health billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Availability to work onsite Strong knowledge of the full RCM lifecycle for mental health and behavioral health services Proficiency with EMRs and the billing platform "CollaborateMD" {MUST HAVE} In‑depth understanding of psychiatry billing codes, modifiers, and payer‑specific insurance protocols Experience with insurance verification, AR analysis, denial management, and payment posting Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools Why Join PsychPlus?
