Consultant - Performance Analytics

Title and Summary Consultant – Performance Analytics within Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services. The group is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. It combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s data assets and proprietary platforms to deliver strategic insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities Provide creative input on projects across various industries and problem statements. Contribute to the development of analytics strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions. Collaborate with Mastercard teams to understand client needs, agenda, and risks. Develop working relationships with client analysts and managers and act as a trusted partner.

Work with senior project delivery consultants to identify key findings, prepare effective presentations, and deliver recommendations. Independently identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and synthesize analysis to highlight relevant findings. Lead internal and client meetings, and contribute to project management. Contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital. Receive mentorship from performance analytics leaders for professional growth and development.

Qualifications Basic

Qualifications Undergraduate degree with data and analytics experience in business intelligence and/or descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics. Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders. Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key findings. Proficiency using data analytics software (Python, R, SQL, SAS). Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Effective communication in English and the local office language (if applicable). Eligibility to work in the country where applying and ability to obtain travel visas as required. Preferred

Qualifications Experience building, managing, and maintaining database structures; working with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI); or Hadoop framework and coding using Impala, Hive, or PySpark. Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize key findings to provide recommendations via descriptive analytics and business intelligence. Experience managing tasks or workstreams in a collaborative team environment.

Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solutions. Relevant industry expertise.
