We’re Hiring: Securities Settlements - Senior Associate (ASIA) Are you an experienced settlements professional with exposure to equities, bonds, APAC markets, trade settlements, fails investigation, and break resolution? We are looking for a Sec Asia Settlements Senior Associate to join our Market Operations team in Manila and support settlement activities across APAC markets, with primary focus on the Australian market.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to strengthen their expertise in securities settlements while gaining exposure to regional market operations, new settlement flows, process testing, and cross-location collaboration within a global banking environment.

About the role As a Sec Asia Settlements Senior Associate, you will support settlement-related processes for equities and bonds instruments across APAC markets, with key involvement in the Australian settlement flow. The role will also provide opportunities to rotate within the team and learn settlement processes for other APAC markets.

You will play an important role in ensuring timely settlement of trades, resolving settlement issues, clearing breaks, managing escalations, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce operational risk.

responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for:Ensuring timely settlement of trades across assigned APAC marketsSupporting settlement processes including pre-matching, fails investigation, break investigation, fees processing, and cash paymentsMonitoring nostro and depot breaks and ensuring timely clearanceWorking closely with regional hubs and internal teams to resolve settlement issues efficientlySupporting testing of new settlement flows, particularly for the Australian marketEscalating client-impacting issues in a timely and appropriate mannerIdentifying process improvement opportunities and helping mitigate operational riskCollaborating with internal stakeholders to support service quality, turnaround time, and operational excellence What we’re looking for We are looking for someone with: Bachelor’s degree in any relevant fieldAround 2–5 years of relevant experience in securities settlements, trade operations, market operations, middle office, or similar functionsExperience in equities, bonds, securities settlements, APAC markets, or broker operationsStrong understanding of settlement processes such as pre-matching, fails management, cash payments, breaks investigation, and reconciliationExposure to the Australian market or an organization with direct membership on the Australian Exchange is highly advantageousStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills to meet market cut-offs and deadlinesStrong English communication skills, both written and verbalGood working knowledge of ExcelA collaborative mindset, client focus, and willingness to work in a dynamic and evolving environment Why this opportunity stands out?
