JOB SUMMARY The Payroll Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. This role manages payroll operations, validates payroll data, oversees timekeeping governance, strengthens payroll controls, and drives continuous process improvements.
Working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations, the Payroll Assistant Manager ensures payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional employee payroll experience while supporting the organization's growth and operational excellence. WHAT YOU'LL DOLead the end-to-end payroll process, including payroll, service charge, and employee allowances. Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy before payroll release.
Ensure timely and accurate statutory remittances, tax compliance, and government reporting. Oversee payroll controls and identify opportunities for automation and process improvements. Manage payroll-related employee inquiries with professionalism and excellent customer service. Ensure accurate HRIS payroll data and generate payroll analytics and management reports. Oversee timekeeping governance by monitoring attendance compliance and improving payroll-related controls.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, HRIS, and external partners to ensure seamless payroll operations. Guide and mentor Payroll Specialists while promoting best practices and compliance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldAt least 6–8 years of payroll experience, including end-to-end payroll processingStrong knowledge of Philippine payroll, labor laws, tax regulations, government remittances, and statutory complianceExperience using HRIS and payroll systems with advanced Excel skillsStrong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detailExperience in payroll reconciliation, reporting, and payroll governanceSupervisory or team leadership experience is an advantageAble to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
