RSMSSB JE written exam has two parts: Part A tests General Knowledge of Rajasthan (40 questions) and Part B tests the engineering discipline you applied for (80 questions). Civil, Mechanical and Electrical JE papers carry 120 marks in 2 hours. JE Agriculture is a separate 300-mark paper of 3 hours.

- Format: Objective-type multiple choice questions (OMR / computer-based as per notification)
- Civil / Mechanical / Electrical JE: 120 questions · 120 marks · 2 hours
- Part A — General Knowledge of Rajasthan: 40 questions · 40 marks
- Part B — Concerned engineering subject: 80 questions · 80 marks
- JE Agriculture: graduation-level Agriculture Engineering · 300 marks · 3 hours
- Negative marking: ⅓ mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (as per RSMSSB norms)
- No interview — final selection on written exam merit + document verification
