M&E Design Engineer

Overview of the Role: As part of a dynamic, multi-skilled team, your role as a M&E Design Engineer is to support the delivery of energy engineering projects to the highest technical standards. You will be responsible to help design and develop efficient energy solutions and processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client

requirements. You will be working closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners, you will help define design processes, support supplier engagement, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen the company’s engineering capability and growth. requirements. Prepare detailed drawings, design calculations, and technical documentation and drawings. Conduct simulations, feasibility studies, and performance analyses to ensure project design

requirements. Perform site visits for projects to collect information and validate design assumptions to be included in requests from suppliers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure design integrity across all project stages. Integrate cost control and due diligence principles into design decisions and system selection. Support preparation of technical proposals, documents, and compliance reports.

Participate in the projects team, providing engineering support from concept through commissioning. This role is very similar to an Mechanical and Electrical design (M&E) engineer role so experience in a similar area is an advantage and experience with Heating/ Cooling system design is also an advantage. Required

qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related Engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience in a similar design engineering role within the energy sector/M&E sector. Proficiency in energy calculations/ design tools. Strong understanding of energy systems, Heat pumps, Boilers, HVAC, CHP, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, BMS, pumps, piping, steam, solar etc.

Experience with project management from concept to commissioning as you will work closely with the projects team. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and permitting

requirements. Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail. Familiarity with health and safety principles on energy engineering sites. Candidates must hold a full, clean driving license, as travel is required as part of the role. Location and Travel: Celtic Dynamic’s is based in Galway City, Co. Galway, Ireland.
