Job Description\n Vice President (VP) Corporate Banker - Financial Institutions (FIG) is a key professional responsible for driving the planning, execution, and growth of strategic initiatives for major Financial Institution clients in Ireland. The successful candidate will join a team with an unrivalled position in the Ireland banking market.

Citi has a 20% market share of all episodic financing and advisory transactions since 2020 and has recently been awarded Euromoney’s Best Investment Bank in Ireland award for the 8th consecutive year. Sitting directly under the Head of Corporate Banking Ireland, this role acts as a strategic partner, helping to design and execute client strategies while actively managing a portfolio of Financial Institution clients.

The VP Banker will drive revenue by cross‑selling the full Citi platform, including Investment Banking (DCM, ECM), Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS), Markets (FX, Rates, Derivatives), and Securities Services, while efficiently deploying the firm's capital, managing credit and lending approvals, and maintaining an exemplary risk and compliance posture.

Responsibilities\n \n Strategic Partnership & Portfolio AnalysisStrategic Advisory: Partner directly with the Head of Corporate Banking Ireland to formulate and execute coverage strategies, account planning, calling strategies, and client segmentation. Financial & Market Analysis: Evaluate public filings, research reports, macroeconomic trends, and financial forecasts to produce high-quality strategic and financial analyses that support portfolio growth.

\n Client Relationship Management & OriginationRelationship Support: Partner with Senior Bankers and Product Partners to provide comprehensive relationship management support for a portfolio of banks, broker‑dealers, asset managers, and insurance companies. Client Advisory: Call on clients to deepen relationships, proactively uncover future needs, and provide strategic advisory services across TTS, Markets, and Capital Markets.

\n Product Cross‑Selling & Capital Deployment PlatformCross‑Selling: Drive revenue growth by identifying client needs and cross‑selling the full spectrum of Citi products, including cash management, trade finance, foreign exchange, debt capital markets (DCM), share repurchases, and interest rate/equity derivatives.

Capital Optimization: Assist in the efficient deployment of the firm's capital, navigating the lending and credit approval processes in alignment with Citi's return thresholds. \n Risk, Compliance & Portfolio ControlsKYC & Onboarding Ownership: Work closely with onboarding managers to ensure flawless execution of Know Your Client (KYC) and other compliance deliverables.

Early Warning Detection: Demonstrate an advanced level of Early Warning Detection skills to identify potential credit, operational, or reputational risks within the portfolio before they materialize. \n

Qualifications & Skills\n Experience: Ideally 6-10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, transaction banking, or financial institutions coverage (FIG).\n Product Knowledge: Sound understanding of Corporate Banking, capital markets products, derivatives, credit/lending processes, cash management, trade finance, and securities products.\n Risk Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues, global/local regulatory
