Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Job Type: Full-timeRole ContextThe AVP - Regulatory Affairs and Compliance supports the effective management of FAB 's relationship with UAE regulators by coordinating regulatory engagements from initial notification through final response and closure.

The position provides centralized oversight of regulatory examinations, inspections, information requests, circulars, and related communications while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, traceability, and appropriate management visibility. The role also contributes to improving the Bank 's regulatory operating model by identifying opportunities to automate manual activities, simplify workflows, enhance reporting, and strengthen governance.

Effective performance helps reduce regulatory risk, improve responsiveness, and protect the Bank 's reputation with supervisory authorities. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end coordination of regulatory examinations and thematic reviews. Ensure regulatory reviews are managed within required deadlines and governance standards. Engage relevant internal stakeholders to obtain complete and accurate responses.

Coordinate collection of supporting documentation requested by regulatory authorities. Review submissions for completeness before they are provided to Regulators. Maintain detailed examination logs, trackers, and supporting records. Provide regular progress updates to the Head of Regulatory Affairs - UAE. Identify delays or information gaps and elevate them through appropriate channels. Coordinate regulatory on-site inspections across relevant Bank functions.

Ensure logistical and administrative arrangements for inspections are properly managed. Brief internal stakeholders on inspection scope,

requirements, and expected

responsibilities. Act as a primary coordination point for Regulators during on-site engagements. Facilitate effective communication between inspection teams and FAB stakeholders. Track regulatory observations and inspection findings from issuance through closure. Monitor agreed remediation actions and completion deadlines. Escalate overdue or high-risk regulatory actions when required. Manage Requests for Information received from regulatory authorities.

Coordinate accurate and timely responses to RFIs. Maintain supporting evidence for all regulatory submissions. Ensure regulatory communications are properly logged and traceable. Operate an effective Single Point of Contact process for regulatory requests. Maintain clear ownership and accountability across regulatory interactions. Manage receipt and distribution of regulatory circulars and notices.

Ensure circulars are promptly communicated to affected business and control functions. Maintain a centralized repository for regulatory circulars, notices, and related records. Ensure documentation is readily available for management, Internal Audit, and regulatory review. Build effective relationships with Compliance, Legal, Risk, business units, Operations, and other control functions. Facilitate coordinated responses where regulatory matters involve multiple stakeholders.

Act as a key liaison between FAB and regulatory authorities on relevant compliance matters. Support professional and consistent engagement with Regulators. Keep senior Regulatory Affairs leadership informed of material developments. Prepare status updates covering examinations, inspections, RFIs, and ad hoc engagements. Maintain comprehensive records of regulatory interactions. Ensure logs and trackers are updated in real time.

Support management reporting with accurate and current regulatory information. Provide monthly inputs for inclusion in the CBUAE Monthly Pack. Ensure reporting data is complete, consistent, and supported by appropriate evidence. Identify recurring operational issues affecting regulatory response efficiency. Recommend improvements to examination, inspection, and reporting processes. Support automation of regulatory trackers and workflow activities.

Develop more efficient approaches to monitoring regulatory commitments. Simplify processes where control effectiveness can be maintained or strengthened. Improve consistency in regulatory response preparation and record management. Contribute to enhancement of management information and regulatory reporting tools. Stay current with changes in banking regulations and supervisory expectations. Monitor relevant regulatory developments affecting FAB in the UAE.

Assess emerging regulatory

requirements and their impact on existing processes. Apply industry best practices to Regulatory Affairs operations. Support future‑ready regulatory engagement processes through technology and process improvement. Maintain high standards of confidentiality and information governance. Ensure regulatory records are controlled and retained appropriately. Operate in accordance with FAB policies, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.

Support ad hoc regulatory matters as required by senior management. Ideal ProfileThe successful candidate should hold a Bachelor 's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field and have at least 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance or a closely related area, preferably within a bank or financial institution. Candidates should have strong knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks, supervisory expectations, compliance

requirements, and the governance standards associated with regulatory examinations and inspections. Practical experience coordinating regulatory reviews, Requests for Information, regulatory submissions, remediation tracking, or supervisory engagements will be highly relevant. The role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent regulatory deadlines without compromising accuracy or documentation quality.

Strong written and verbal communication is essential, together with the confidence to engage senior internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities. Candidates should also demonstrate an improvement‑oriented mindset, particularly in relation to automation, workflow simplification, reporting efficiency, and regulatory process governance.
