Live test: Computer adaptive (CAT). You may see about 85–150 items; the exam stops when the logit passing standard is met, maxed, or time runs out. Seat time Up to 5 hours, including breaks. Who sits NCLEX-RN

You need a nursing program completion (or board-approved equivalent) and an ATT from the board of nursing you applied to. Compact-license rules are state-to-state; passing NCLEX is not itself a multi-state license.

Apply to the board for the RN license, then new-grad residencies, med-surg, LTC, and clinic RN listings. Put NCLEX-RN / compact eligibility in a text PDF.

How to use this NCLEX-RN practice module

20 original items on Safety, pharm, fluids, infection control. Timed mode is 30 minutes — a pacing drill, not the live clock. Explanations after submit are teaching notes, not NCSBN rationales.

Wrong answers are the point. Flag weak sections, then sit an official practice test before you pay for the real date.

• Think C-A-B for adult unresponsive: compressions before breaths unless the stem says otherwise.
• Airborne vs droplet vs contact is a high-yield infection item — TB is airborne.
• Do not treat this 20-item set as a CAT stop predictor.
• Use NCSBN’s official practice exam before you spend the ATT window.
