About this role

QuoteWell's AI-native work orchestration platform was built to supercharge insurance placement and distribution. It's not a single-tenant tool: the platform powers agentic placement workflows for multiple customer organizations, including QuoteWell's own brokerage, each running with its own integrations, workflows, and features. We deliver this platform as a managed service, not just software.

Product managers help own customer delivery and success directly, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) embedded with each customer as well as broader platform development. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the platform's roadmap and day-to-day product decisions. You'll define scope as you learn the platform, in tight partnership with engineering, design, and customers while reporting to the Head of Product.

QuoteWell is backed by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Brand Foundry Ventures, ClockTower Ventures, and Floating Point. What You'll DoOwn the agentic placement roadmap end-to-end, and be accountable for the outcomes it produces for customers — not just the features shipped. Partner closely with FDEs to turn what they're seeing in the field into product decisions — they're your closest signal on what's actually working and where it's breaking.

Define the metrics that actually indicate whether the platform is working — deciding which numbers matter and how they tell the story of a customer engagement. Build directly with engineering and design as a peer: co-developing products, managing feedback cycles and helping to maintain team velocity. Make prioritization calls when priorities conflict, and be accountable for the outcome either way.

Bring a real point of view on how AI should show up in the product — where agentic automation should own a workflow outright, where it should assist a human, and where it shouldn't touch the process at all. Exercise taste: make judgment calls on quality and craft that data alone won't answer for you. What We're Looking For4+ years of experience as a product manager, with a track record of owning a product area end-to-end.

Demonstrated product taste — you can point to shipped work where your judgment on quality made the product better, not just your process for getting there. Comfort owning delivery and customer success directly, not just roadmap input — this is a managed-service model, and you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with embedded FDEs rather than handing off a spec and waiting to hear how it landed. Comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated high agency.

This platform is early-stage; you'll be building process as you go, not inheriting a mature one. A genuine point of view on AI adoption in real workflows, including where automation should hand off to a human and how to design that handoff so people trust it. Strong written and verbal communication; you'll move between customers, engineers, and leadership regularly.

Nice to HaveHands-on experience using AI tools for development or prototyping — you've actually built or tested ideas this way yourself, not just directed someone else to. Experience in insurance, insurtech, fintech, or another regulated B2B industry.
