Role SummaryBased in Singapore, the EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance across the region. You will have primary responsibility for the Singapore facilities, alongside strategic oversight of operations in the region. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop, harmonize, and implement robust EHS programs while fostering a strong culture of safety and sustainability across diverse regulatory jurisdictions.

Key ResponsibilitiesRegional EHS Leadership: Oversee and coordinate EHS programs across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring alignment between the Singapore HQ, China operations, and other regional sites. Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement EHS policies to meet national standards, managing environmental permitting, hazardous materials, waste management, and emissions

requirements. Adapt programs to meet country-specific regulations. Industrial Hygiene & Safety: Lead workplace safety initiatives, conduct routine industrial hygiene monitoring (air, chemical, noise, ergonomics), and manage incident reporting and investigations. Waste Management: Oversee the company’s hazardous and non-hazardous waste management program, including storage, disposal, employee training, and compliance recordkeeping.

Training & Engagement: Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training, build workforce safety engagement, and mentor EHS personnel to strengthen internal capabilities. Risk Management: Lead emergency response planning, ensure readiness for audits, and adapt site-specific emergency response obligations. Sustainability & Continuous Improvement: Support corporate sustainability strategies and track EHS performance indicators to embed continuous process improvements.

RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Earth/Life Science, Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology, or a related field. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in EHS consulting, chemical manufacturing, or an industrial environment, with a strong understanding of industrial processes and environmental impacts. A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience is required.

Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, R&D environments, supply chain, warehouse safety, and relevant emergency responses. Certifications: Possess Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) certification or equivalent regional

qualifications. Must have HAZMAT/chemical handling certifications and ISO 45001 awareness. Standards & Frameworks: Good working knowledge of local/regional regulatory compliances, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, and bizSAFE (Singapore).
