Job Overview Our client is a leading MNC in the shipping industry based in town. They are hiring a Manager of Business Process Implementation who will report to an experienced Business Strategy Manager for a global shipping MNC. The role offers a work‑from‑home arrangement one day per week, and is a 1‑year contract with a one‑month completion bonus payable at the end of the period. For a good performer, the contract can be renewed or converted to permanent. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of existing business processes and data backup plans (non‑technical) to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Utilize process mapping and modeling techniques (e.g. flowchart) to document and visualize current processes. Design and develop new or improved business processes that are efficient, effective, and aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g. IT, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Trade, Fleet) to gather requirements and ensure stakeholder buy‑in. Project manage the implementation of new or improved processes, including change management activities and employee training. Monitor process performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics. Analyze data and identify areas for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate process improvement initiatives and results to management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (e.g., IT). Preferably 4 to 8 years of management consulting experience gained with a Big 4 or boutique consulting firm; candidates with business process owner/consulting experience gained with MNCs will also be considered. Some exposure to Business Process Management or Business Process Consulting is required. Experience mapping/documenting business processes, rolling out improved business processes, and driving changes is required. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams. Cyber/Business Continuity Plan (BCP) experience is advantageous but not required. Strong cognitive assessment/abstract reasoning skills. Ability to appropriately influence key stakeholders (including senior management) and effectively challenge their views where necessary. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Excel. Proficiency with a process mapping tool (e.g., Miro) is advantageous but not mandatory. Shipping/maritime industry experience is useful but not required.
