SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) Developer

Job Description We are seeking a SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Developer to support a government entity in Riyadh. This is a 5-month assignment with the potential for extension, focused on maintaining the current BI reporting landscape while developing new, customized reports based on business needs. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in SAP BO tools and Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to translate business

requirements into effective reporting solutions.

Key

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects reports, universes, and dashboards. Gather and analyze business

requirements, translating them into accurate BI reporting solutions. Build and manage BI semantic layers (universes) using IDT and/or UDT. Develop reports using Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and Lumira/Dashboard Designer. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Microsoft SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and views. Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, data architects, and project managers. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications, data mappings, and report designs. Ensure compliance with government security standards and data handling policies.

Requirements Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x preferred). Proven experience in Universe design using IDT and/or UDT. Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, views). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred

Qualifications Experience with Crystal Reports and BI platform administration (scheduling, publications, security roles). Previous experience working with government or public‑sector entities. Knowledge of SAP BW/BEx or other SAP data sources. Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with Arabic-language reporting
