Role Overview The Product Approvals & Registration Manager is responsible for leading product registration, approvals, prequalification, and specification activities with consultants, design offices, government entities, utilities, EPC contractors, developers, and major project owners.
This strategic commercial and technical role ensures that company products are approved, registered, specified, and recognized by key decision-makers before projects reach the tendering and procurement stages. The position plays a key role in increasing project eligibility, influencing specifications, and supporting business growth across the energy, utility, infrastructure, industrial, and construction sectors.
Key
Responsibilities Lead product registration, approval, and prequalification activities with consultants, design offices, utilities, government entities, EPC contractors, developers, and project owners. Identify and manage all required approval channels across Saudi Arabia and relevant GCC markets. Prepare and submit registration packages, prequalification documents, technical submittals, compliance documents, certifications, and supporting materials.
Build and maintain strong relationships with consultant offices, engineering firms, design offices, and technical specification teams. Promote company products, technical capabilities, certifications, manufacturing strengths, and project references. Influence project specifications during the design stage to increase product inclusion in project
requirements. Conduct technical presentations, workshops, seminars, factory visits, and stakeholder engagement sessions. Manage registration and vendor approval processes with government entities, utilities, municipalities, authorities, and institutional procurement bodies. Coordinate technical documentation including catalogues, datasheets, test reports, certifications, compliance documents, company profiles, and project references.
Lead approved vendor registration and prequalification initiatives with target clients and authorities. Maintain and monitor approval trackers, registration databases, renewal schedules, and compliance
requirements. Identify upcoming projects and opportunities where products can be specified or approved. Track consultants, project owners, EPC contractors, tender timelines, and approval
requirements. Provide market intelligence on competitor approvals, consultant specifications, project pipelines, and industry trends. Collaborate closely with Sales, Tendering, Engineering, QA/QC, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Government Relations, and Operations teams. Support sales and tendering activities by removing approval and prequalification barriers before bid submission.
Prepare regular reports on approvals, registrations, opportunities, risks, and project progress. Represent the organization in technical meetings, exhibitions, consultant visits, and industry events. Ensure all registrations, approvals, and technical documentation remain valid, updated, and compliant with stakeholder
requirements.
Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Electrical Engineering is highly preferred due to the technical nature of the products and industry. Experience Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Product Approvals, Registration, Prequalification, Technical Sales, Business Development, Consultant Relations, Specifications, or Project Sales.
Proven experience within the Electrical, Cable, Energy, Utility, Infrastructure, Industrial, or Construction sectors. Strong experience dealing with consultant offices, design offices, government entities, utilities, EPC contractors, developers, and project owners. Experience managing vendor registration and approved supplier qualification processes. Strong understanding of tendering procedures, procurement cycles, approved vendor lists, and project specifications.
Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC markets is highly preferred. Experience with government and semi-government registration processes is an advantage. Technical & Commercial Knowledge Strong understanding of product approval, registration, and prequalification processes. Knowledge of electrical products, cables, energy systems, utilities, and infrastructure projects. Experience preparing and managing technical submittal packages and compliance documentation.
Ability to influence technical specifications and gain consultant approvals. Understanding of project lifecycle management and procurement processes. Skills & Competencies Strong relationship management and networking skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. Ability to engage effectively with consultants, engineers, technical committees, procurement teams, and decision‑makers. Strong follow‑up, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail and documentation management capabilities. Strong commercial awareness and business development mindset. Ability to identify and develop project opportunities at an early stage. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Requirements Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal). Arabic language skills are highly preferred. Preferred Certifications Project Management certifications. Technical Sales or Business Development certifications. Tendering and Contract Management training. Supply Chain or Procurement certifications. Quality Management or Compliance certifications.
