Urdu Audio Transcription Specialist

Role Description The Urdu Audio Transcription Specialist is responsible for accurately converting Urdu audio recordings into written text, following established formatting and quality standards. Day‑to‑day tasks include listening to audio files, transcribing spoken content verbatim, reviewing and editing transcripts for clarity and correctness, and ensuring proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in Urdu and, where required, English.

The specialist collaborates with billing and operations staff to deliver timely transcripts that support documentation and business processes, while maintaining confidentiality and data security. This is a contract, on‑site role based in Nowshera District, requiring consistent presence at the workplace and adherence to defined schedules and productivity targets.

Qualifications Strong Urdu language proficiency, including excellent listening, comprehension, spelling, and grammar skills. Proven experience in audio transcription or a similar role, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently. Attention to detail and strong editing and proofreading capabilities to ensure error‑free written output. Comfort using computers, transcription software, and audio playback tools; ability to learn new systems as needed.

Basic English reading and writing skills to follow guidelines, communicate with team members, and handle bilingual material if required. Ability to maintain confidentiality, work with sensitive information, and follow data security and privacy standards. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple audio files per day.

Ability to work on‑site in Nowshera District and collaborate effectively with colleagues in a professional environment. Previous experience in healthcare, billing, or administrative documentation is an advantage but not required.
