Senior Solution Architect

Job description

Descon Engineering Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day technical solution activities, developing optimized automation and control system solutions, and supporting business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Review RFQs and ensure proposed solutions comply with customer requirements. Design and propose PLC/DCS/SCADA-based automation solutions using systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell, ABB, Schneider, etc. Develop cost‑optimized control system architectures and field instrumentation solutions. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, estimations, and project execution plans. Perform engineering, construction, and testing effort estimations. Identify technical and commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies. Coordinate proposals and follow‑ups with the sales team. Support vendor management activities including quotation collection and negotiations. Develop execution philosophies, design procedures, project plans, and commercial documentation. Ensure technical and commercial compliance of proposals and highlight all deviations/exceptions. Provide innovative and optimized solutions based on field experience and technical expertise. Ensure compliance with CSIA (Control System Integrators Association) standards. Support site visits with proposal/engineering teams for solution assessment and optimization. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5–6 years of experience in engineering, automation, control systems, or technical sales. Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and field instrumentation. Experience in brownfield projects, site execution, and construction estimation will be an added advantage. Strong business development and negotiation skills.
