Situation Vacant Applications are invited for the re‑engagement of retired staff and qualified personnel in the Signal Department on a contract basis for an initial period of one (1) year (extendable based on performance and requirement), subject to physical and medical fitness. Available Position & Vacancy Distribution Department: Signal Department Category: Sub Engineer Signal BPS: BS-11 Total Vacancies: 05 Lahore (LHR): 02 vacancies Karachi (KYC): 02 vacancies Sukkur (SUK): 01 vacancy Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit Candidates must fulfil either of the following two tracks: Track 1: Retired Railway Employees Prior Designation: Retired official from the post of Sub Engineer Signal (BS‑11) or Signal Inspector (BS‑16) in Pakistan Railways. Qualification: Matriculation or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecom from a recognised Board of Technical Education. Track 2: Fresh/Experienced Civilians Qualification: Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecom from a recognised Board of Technical Education. Experience: More than 03 years of direct experience in Railway Signalling Projects. Ineligibility: Individuals who were compulsorily retired, removed, dismissed from service, or retired on medical grounds are not eligible to apply. Maximum Age Limit: 62 years Terms & Conditions of Contract Appointment Salary & Allowances: Selected candidates will draw a salary according to their last pay drawn along with usual admissible allowances under contract rules. However, they will not be entitled to gratuity and pension distribution. Extension: The one‑year contract is extendable for another year subject to satisfactory performance and institutional requirement. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must clear a mandatory medical fitness examination conducted only at Pakistan Railways Hospitals. Posting Location: Selected personnel can be posted anywhere across the entire Pakistan Railway System. Travel Costs: No TA/DA will be provided for interviews or medical examinations. Authority Rights: The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application or change the number of posts without assigning a reason.
