Position Overview The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across business and technical teams. This role oversees Project Managers, defines scope and deliverables, and drives initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. Team Management Provide leadership and oversight to a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering multiple concurrent projects or a defined portfolio. Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, timelines, and quality standards. Coach and mentor team members on best practices in delivery, proactive risk management, decision‑making, and process improvement. Maintain objectivity when resolving conflicts and communicate decisions and strategies effectively to ensure alignment and accountability. Project Management Lead complex or strategic projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery within defined scope, budget, and schedule. Oversee planning, execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment across cross‑functional teams. Coordinate partner and SME engagement across multiple functions to ensure successful outcomes. Drive project requirements through demand planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis) and oversee order processing, scheduling, inventory management, and billing for customer‑specific delivery models. Diagnostics and Analytics Demonstrate ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations to establish clarity, define strategies, and drive action plans. Conduct detailed root‑cause analyses, develop hypotheses, and recommend data‑driven solutions. Identify and streamline inefficient processes, develop cost and resource models, and establish measurable performance metrics from limited data inputs to support strategic decision‑making. Communication Prepare clear and structured reports, presentations, and executive summaries outlining key findings, risks, results, and recommendations. Communicate project progress, cost savings, and performance outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and leadership to drive strategic alignment and operational excellence. Implementation Drive timely resolution of issues, ensuring appropriate escalation when required. Oversee the development and execution of communication, training, and implementation plans to ensure stakeholder readiness and maximum return on investment. Manage project turnover, startup, and delivery to ensure alignment with SOW requirements. Lead project close‑out activities, document outcomes, and provide lessons learned to inform continuous improvement. Provide ongoing mentorship to team members to enhance overall PMO capability and delivery maturity. Stakeholder Management Develop a strong understanding of internal and external stakeholder needs and expectations. Define, document, and manage these expectations to ensure consistent satisfaction and alignment with organizational objectives. Maintain collaborative relationships that foster trust, transparency, and long‑term partnership success. Process Conduct regular project and portfolio reviews to ensure alignment with business objectives and performance goals. Define and refine project management frameworks and ensure consistent application across all engagements. Map and analyze workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement. Develop communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged. Establish QA/QC metrics to measure post‑implementation performance and validate project success. Metrics Achievement of strategic, measurable objectives across assigned programs and projects. Demonstrated improvement in KPIs against established baselines. Completion of deliverables within defined scope, timeline, and budget. Timely and effective resolution of project and operational issues. Regular reporting on utilization, project health, risk, and mitigation activities. Effective communication and alignment with all relevant stakeholders. Provide weekly status report depicting: Service engagements, Resource utilization, Project Status, Risks, Issue Mitigation, Portfolio Status, Timely completion of project initiatives, Effective project communications with multiple stakeholders, teams and executive management. Education/Certification Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. PMP, ITIL or equivalent Certification required. Required Experience 10 plus years of experience in program/project management, process engineering or strategy within a technology or operations environment. Minimum of 3 years’ direct people management experience. Leadership skills: experience leading a portfolio of programs, multiple projects and teams. Ability to take ambiguous requirements, conduct investigations and develop strategy. Problem solving skills: identify risks and develop actionable mitigation plans. Analytical skills: highly analytical with experience using objective data to drive strategic recommendations. Communications skills: concisely explain complex issues, communicate well in writing and verbally, build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas. Intellectual curiosity: desire to understand why/how things work vs. simply completing the task at hand. Knowledge of and experience using Project Management Software.
