Overview Finance team of Oxford Policy Management is seeking a Finance Officer on a permanent basis. The position is located in our Islamabad, Pakistan office. Oxford Policy Management is an international development consultancy working to improve lives through sustainable policy change in low‑ and middle‑income countries. We partner with national stakeholders and decision makers to research, design, implement and evaluate impactful public policy. Position Summary The Finance Department of OPM Pakistan aims to ensure accurate financial management, compliance, and timely reporting to support operational efficiency and regulatory obligations. The Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and timely processing of payments and taxes to support organisational efficiency. As a Finance Officer at OPM You Will Maintain OPM Pakistan bank accounts, record transactions accurately, and ensure proper bookkeeping. Verify and process invoices, bills, and related documents for projects and overhead expenses. Handle monthly salaries, travel reimbursements, and other staff‑related payments promptly. Deduct applicable taxes such as Income Tax and GST, deposit them within deadlines, and issue tax certificates when required. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and perform bank reconciliations. Track payments, monitor expenses against budgets, report any unbudgeted costs, and assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Support submission of tax returns, respond to notices from authorities, and provide data for audits as needed. Maintain organized soft and hard copies of bills, receipts, and financial documents for easy retrieval. Update Dynamics with supplier and employee setups, invoices, payroll journals, and ensure compliance with corporate laws. Coordinate with project teams on expense coding and adjustments, and liaise with banks for payment issues and related matters. Review the Fixed Asset Register monthly and record additions or deletions accurately. Ensure confidentiality of financial data and complete all assigned tasks within agreed timelines. Qualifications Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounts and Finance. Job experience in accounts and taxation is not mandatory. Good understanding of different tax laws at the Federal and Provincial level. Good communication, reporting and Microsoft Excel skills. Vigilant in following organisational policies and able to identify deviations from such policies. Must have right to work in Pakistan.
