Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Supply Chain Effectiveness Transportation Solutions Specialist (Warehouse) What are the responsibilities: 1. Warehouse Design and PlanningDevelop warehouse concepts, layouts, and logistics designs based on Finished Goods (FG), Raw Materials (RM), and Packaging Materials (PM) storage and handling requirements.Conduct SKU profiling and storage analysis to determine optimal racking systems, storage configurations, and warehouse capacities.Design palletization schemes considering product dimensions, weight limitations, stacking requirements, and operational efficiency.Ensure warehouse designs comply with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.Define warehouse operational requirements including:Storage areasLoading and unloading baysStaging areasTruck parking zonesTraffic flow and material movement pathsManpower deployment requirementsDevelop warehouse capacity and throughput models to support business growth and operational requirements. 2. Warehouse Peripherals DesignDesign and specify warehouse peripherals including:Pallets and storage accessoriesBarcode and labeling systemsRF scanning infrastructureWarehouse printers and peripheral devicesPrepare technical specifications and design requirements for warehouse equipment and peripherals.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate solutions and ensure compliance with project requirements.Support equipment selection, technical reviews, and procurement activities. 3. CAPEX Planning and Budget ManagementPrepare CAPEX estimates and business cases for warehouse projects including:Material Handling Equipment Charging StationRacking systemsPalletsWarehouse peripheralsInfrastructure requirementsConduct cost analysis and evaluate alternatives to optimize project investment.Support budget preparation, forecasting, and expenditure monitoring throughout project execution. 4. Warehouse Project Implementation and Start-upLead warehouse project implementation from design approval through commissioning and operational start-up.Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and implementation timelines.Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with scope, budget, quality, and timelines.Manage equipment delivery, installation, inspection, testing, and acceptance activities.Coordinate warehouse readiness activities prior to operational launch.Facilitate successful warehouse start-up and operational handover to warehouse operations teams. 5. Cross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate closely with:Corporate EngineeringProcurementInformation Technology (IT)Supply Chain and LogisticsOperations TeamsCoordinate warehouse systems requirements, including network infrastructure, cabling, Wi-Fi coverage, and WMS-related hardware requirements.Participate in bidding, supplier evaluation, and vendor selection processes for warehouse equipment and solutions.Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders. 6. Site Inspection and CompliancePerform regular site inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.Verify installation quality and adherence to safety and operational standards.Identify project risks, issues, and corrective actions.Ensure all warehouse infrastructure and equipment meet operational readiness requirements before go-live. What are the Qualifications: EducationBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.ExperienceMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in warehouse design, logistics engineering, supply chain projects, or warehouse operations.Experience in warehouse project implementation, warehouse start-up, and logistics CAPEX projects.Experience with racking systems, MHE selection, warehouse layout design, and warehouse optimization projects.Technical CompetenciesWarehouse Layout and DesignLogistics EngineeringMaterial Handling SystemsWarehouse Capacity PlanningProject ManagementCAPEX Planning and Cost AnalysisWarehouse Management Systems (WMS)AutoCAD or warehouse design softwareSupplier and Contractor Management Apply with us today and join us in delighting our employees, customers, consumers, and communities with good food choices!
