Senior Chief AccountantDivision: FinanceReporting To: President & COOIndustry: Education / Healthcare (Higher Education Institution preferred) About the RoleWe are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join as a Senior Chief Accountant to lead and strengthen the institution’s overall accounting operations.This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and full regulatory compliance across academic and healthcare-related financial activities. You will oversee end-to-end accounting operations, support external audits, and provide financial insights that guide strategic and operational decision-making.This is a key leadership role within a growing finance organization with strong focus on financial control, process improvement, and organizational development. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reportsSupervise general accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledgerPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedulesEnsure accurate recording and reconciliation of tuition revenue, receivables, hospital-related transactions, and institutional incomeManage tax compliance including BIR filings, withholding taxes, VAT, and other statutory requirementsReview journal entries, reconciliations, and adjusting entries for accuracy and complianceCoordinate requirements for external audits and regulatory examinationsMonitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activitiesStrengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting proceduresLiaise with external auditors, banks, and government agenciesSupervise, train, and develop accounting team members (approx. 6 direct reports)Provide financial analysis and recommendations to ManagementSupport systems improvements and finance process enhancementsEnsure confidentiality and integrity of financial recordsPerform other duties as assigned by senior leadership QualificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) – required8–10 years of accounting experience3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory roleExperience in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) or healthcare accounting is preferred Compensation₱80,000 – ₱100,000 monthly (based on experience and fit)Competitive package aligned with leadership responsibilities BenefitsChristmas Bonus and Easter Bonus (increasing with tenure)Guaranteed 14th month pay (from 10th year of service)Generous medical coverage (medication and hospitalization; non-HMO structure)Free tuition benefit for employees’ children15 days Vacation Leave + 15 days Sick Leave (convertible, fiscal basis) Other DetailsTeam size: ~6 Accounting staffAdditional headcount role Work EnvironmentThis is a dynamic and fast-evolving finance environment with strong focus on:Financial discipline and control mindsetProactive and accountable accounting operationsStrong contribution to organizational growthContinuous improvement and change leadership Candidates with experience in process improvement, training, or leading finance transformation initiatives will be highly valued.
