Position SummaryThe Solutions Engineer – RF Optimization is responsible for optimizing and improving the performance of 4G LTE and 5G radio access networks. The role involves KPI analysis, troubleshooting, network tuning, root cause analysis, feature optimization, customer engagement, and the development of technical solutions that enhance network quality, coverage, capacity, and user experience. The engineer serves as a technical consultant and optimization expert for Ericsson customers. Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Performance ManagementMonitor and analyze RAN performance KPIs across LTE and 5G networks.Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews.Ensure accessibility, retainability, mobility, latency, throughput, and quality targets are achieved.Identify performance degradation trends and recommend corrective actions. RF OptimizationExecute RF optimization activities to improve network performance.Optimize coverage, capacity, throughput, mobility, and handover performance.Perform parameter tuning and feature optimization.Improve customer experience through network enhancement initiatives. Troubleshooting & Root Cause AnalysisInvestigate network performance issues and service-impacting incidents.Analyze call drops, accessibility failures, handover issues, interference, and throughput degradation.Perform cell-level and cluster-level troubleshooting.Coordinate resolution of multi-domain network issues. Customer Solutioning & ConsultingWork directly with customers to identify improvement opportunities.Present optimization findings and technical recommendations.Design optimization strategies aligned with customer objectives.Support technical workshops and customer performance reviews. RAN Feature & Technology OptimizationSupport implementation and validation of new LTE and 5G features.Optimize:Carrier AggregationVoLTEVoNRENDCMobility FeaturesLoad Balancing FeaturesSON FeaturesParticipate in software upgrades, feature trials, and technology rollouts. Drive Testing & ValidationConduct site verification and network benchmarking.Analyze TEMS, Actix, and drive-test data.Validate optimization actions and feature implementations.Support acceptance and performance certification activities. Technical LeadershipLead optimization projects and technical deliverables.Mentor junior engineers and optimization teams.Coordinate with Planning, Core, Transmission, Deployment, and Operations teams.Ensure adherence to Ericsson methodologies and best practices.
