Job SummaryTo manage and coordinate international shipping and customs processes, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and facilitate the smooth movement of goods across borders. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage import and export operations in compliance with local and international regulations.Prepare and process import/export documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations).Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping agents, and government authorities.Ensure timely clearance of goods from customs, minimizing demurrage and detention costs.Monitor shipments and track orders to ensure timely delivery.Maintain updated knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and tariff schedules.Ensure proper classification of goods for duties and taxes using Harmonized System (HS) codes.Manage and file all related documentation and reports for audit and compliance purposes.Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, finance, warehouse) to support logistics planning.Negotiate shipping rates and service contracts with carriers and third-party logistics providers.Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, damages, or documentation discrepancies. Job QualificationsEducational Attainment: Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.Skills: Strong knowledge of customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and international trade laws.Proficiency with shipping/logistics software and MS Office Suite.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Certification in import/export or freight forwarding is advantageous.Experience: 2–4 years in import/export or international logistics.
