A centralized estimating desk role built around one thing: turning technician findings into fast, accurate fire protection quotes that win work and keep assets compliant. Fire protection is a compliance-critical trade, and the speed and accuracy of defect quotations directly determines whether remediation happens or gets deferred. This role sits at that exact point of commercial pressure — converting real inspection data into competitive quotes that move.

The Role As Estimator for Fire Service and Defects, you will own the defect quote pipeline for fire protection operations covering the Northern Territory and South Australian markets, working from a centralized remote desk.

Your output feeds directly into service delivery — every quote you produce either opens or closes a remediation job. You will work inside Uptick, converting inspection findings, photographs, and asset data into accurate, customer-ready quotations, independently managing that pipeline from creation through to approval.

What You Will Do▸ Convert technician-logged defects and inspection findings from Uptick into accurate, competitive, and timely quotations for fire protection service, maintenance, repair, and minor works▸ Build pricing from technician reports, photographs, and asset data within Uptick, guided by internal pricing data and established rate schedules▸ Manage the defect quote pipeline independently, tracking every quote from creation through to approval without requiring close supervision▸ Produce clear, professional customer-facing quote documentation that reflects both technical accuracy and commercial credibility▸ Escalate complex or high-value quotations appropriately to the Service Manager or State Manager when the scope demands it▸ Support Northern Territory and South Australian fire protection operations from a single centralised remote desk What You Bring✔ Demonstrated experience working in Uptick or a comparable field service and asset management platform used in trade services environments✔ Hands-on estimating or quoting experience within fire protection, mechanical services, or a closely related trade services discipline✔ The ability to build accurate, defensible pricing from technician reports, photographs, and asset records — without visiting site✔ Proven capacity to manage a quote pipeline independently with minimal day-to-day supervision✔ Clear written communication skills with experience producing customer-facing documentation that reflects professionalism under commercial and compliance pressure Work ArrangementThis is a full work-from-home role.
