Job description

We are looking for an Application Architect to serve as the technical leader and strategic guardian of our enterprise application landscape. In this role, you will design, govern, and evolve the technology ecosystem supporting our digital transformation across Supply Chain, Warehouse Logistics, and Production Operations. Operating at the intersection of IT and business operations, you will translate complex organizational needs into scalable, secure, and future-readyarchitectures that drive long-term growth and operational efficiency. As the Architect, you will design and govern integrations across a complex enterprise ecosystem. Experience or deep familiarity with the following spaces is highly prioritized: Core Systems: ERP (SAP/Oracle), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Supply Chain Planning platforms.Integration & APIs: REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Tibco), and messaging frameworks.Cloud & Infrastructure: Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SaaS enterprise platforms.Emerging Tech: Feasibility mapping for AI/ML tools and automated data flows.Data Standards: JSON, XML, and secure file-based data exchange protocols. Key Responsibilities1. Architecture Design & GovernanceDefine and maintain the enterprise blueprint across all warehouse, production, and supply chain systems.Establish coding standards, patterns, and architectural guardrails for in-house and third-party platforms.Lead architecture review boards, approve design changes, and manage "Build vs. Buy vs. Integrate" decisions.2. Systems Integration & Data FlowDesign the integration architecture connecting operational warehouse/production floors with enterprise IT.Define API strategies, middleware patterns, and event-driven data exchange standards.Ensure absolute data consistency and integrity across all integrated internal and external platforms.3. Solution Design & Project EnablementProvide technical oversight for high-impact platform upgrades and supply chain transformation initiatives.Translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into compliant technical solutions.Conduct feasibility assessments for new technologies (Cloud, SaaS, AI/ML) and support vendor evaluation (RFP/RFI processes).4. Technical Debt & Risk ManagementTrack, catalog, and prioritize technical debt using structured assessment frameworks.Lead legacy system modernization, re-platforming, or decommissioning initiatives.Quantify the business impact of technical debt (risk, cost, scalability issues) and present roadmaps to executives.Apply security-by-design principles and define Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) strategies for critical systems.5. Leadership & Collaboration (Secondary Functions)Mentor and develop junior-to-mid-level architects to build a strong internal practice.Engage with external vendors, system integrators, and cloud providers to maintain strategic partnerships.Maintain architecture documentation and support organizational change management during technology rollouts. What We Are Looking ForProven track record as an Application or Solutions Architect, ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.A "technology translator" who can confidently explain complex technical constraints to operations managers and senior executives alike.Strong background in integrating legacy operational systems with modern cloud architectures, keeping speed of delivery balanced with long-term system integrity.
