About the RoleTo assist the Application/Technical Manager in the implementation and execution of all initiatives according to the ISS division strategy. To manage solutioning and roadmap of the technology platform or end‑solutions and act as the SME for key technology areas. To implement solutions according to design philosophy emphasizing system attributes such as flexibility and modularity.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage and execute the development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages. Ensure effective delivery with cost efficiency and total quality, ensuring that IT investment realizes intended

benefits. Define action plans to support IT strategy through sound planning, established methods and resourcing, delivering projects within agreed timelines. Manage, enforce and review system change adherence to software development life cycle and software quality management. Manage and optimize system delivery aligned to the Enterprise Architecture framework. Manage application availability with timely resolution of issues and problems.

Manage and optimise resource planning and utilisation to deliver maximum output to support business demands. Coach and mentor team to acquire the technical skills required to execute their jobs. Ensure team performance aligns with division and company strategy. Design and architect solution portfolio ensuring scalability and performance optimization. Translate business and functional

requirements into system solutions. Lead development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing systems. Act as the technical lead on major or complex projects/initiatives that drive business growth. Develop software code following best practices and guidelines. Perform unit and SIT testing before deploying for UAT testing. Support and resolve UAT issues.

Execute second‑level production and incident support through close interaction with first‑level support. Handle medium to high to major complexity projects as technical lead, accountable for end‑to‑end application delivery. Collaborate with partners, project manager, product manager, business analyst, IT SMEs, vendor, IT security, solution architect and infrastructure teams. Job RequirementsDegree in IT from an accredited institution.

5–8 years of experience in an IT application development environment, with 1–2 years of supervisory experience in application solutioning, design and development. Experience executing IT projects with high level expertise in system application and technology implementation delivery. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with middle management and internal & external stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Domain proficiency in insurance business and its operations, including distribution channels and modus operandi. Ability to work independently and be highly self‑motivated.
