About the RoleAs a Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that vehicles meet company quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. Opportunities are available across General Assembly, Paint Shop, and Body Shop departments. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control product quality throughout the manufacturing process.Conduct quality inspections, audits, and process evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards.Investigate quality issues and perform root cause analysis to identify corrective and preventive actions.Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and related departments to resolve quality concerns.Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and track quality performance indicators.Support new model launches, engineering changes, and quality validation activities.Develop and maintain quality documentation, inspection standards, and quality procedures.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and applicable regulations.Support problem-solving activities and drive quality improvement projects. QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering within the automotive manufacturing industry.Experience in one of the following areas:General AssemblyPaint ShopBody ShopStrong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality systems.Familiar with quality tools and methodologies such as 7 QC Tools, PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem Solving techniques.Experience in conducting quality audits, inspections, and quality improvement activities.Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality-related reporting tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is a must
