IT Data Management Head

Job description

Job Purpose:Establish and lead the enterprise-wide data management strategy to ensure data are treated as strategic asset to drive business value. Partner with stakeholders to strengthen data governance, quality, security, and availability, ensuring regulatory and business requirements are met. Build and manage scalable data platforms (data lake and data warehouse) to support business and regulatory reporting, analytics, digital initiatives, and innovation. Deliver trusted, governed, and high-quality data services across business units.Optimize data management investments and operational costs.Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and group standards. Champion a data-driven culture through leadership, collaboration, and organizational engagement in data governance and usage. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or other closely related disciplines. Professional certifications in data management and data governance are an advantage.Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Information Technology, Data, or Information Management, with at least 7 years in leadership positions.Proven track record in managing large-scale IT initiatives, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries, where data is a mission-critical asset, is preferred.Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, including data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, and data stewardship practicesSolid understanding of data platforms and tools, including enterprise data platforms, data lake/data warehouse/Lakehouse architectures, data catalogues, data governance, and security and access control.Strong technical depth in Data Engineering and Analytics, including DataOps practices, Analytics/BI platforms, and exposure to ML/AI, particularly in enabling these capabilities through data platforms. Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated abilities in communication, storytelling, influencing, and mentoringHigh adaptability to evolving technological advancements and regulatory requirements.Proven capability in strategic thinking and effective decision-making.Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
