Job Role The Data Cruncher & Inventory Demand Forecaster is responsible for developing inventory forecasting models, demand planning strategies, and operational analytics that support efficient agricultural production and supply chain performance. The role focuses on analyzing consumption trends, forecasting material requirements, optimizing inventory levels, and providing actionable insights that support procurement, warehouse management, and operational planning activities. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, warehouse, feedmill, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability while minimizing excess inventory and working capital exposure. This position is ideal for analytical professionals with strong expertise in inventory planning, demand forecasting, supply chain analytics, and data-driven decision-making within agriculture, food production, manufacturing, or other high-volume operational environments. Key Responsibilities Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret operational, inventory, and consumption data from multiple sites to support business planning and decision-making. Develop and maintain demand forecasting models for feed ingredients, agricultural consumables, veterinary supplies, operational materials, and other critical inventory categories. Monitor inventory performance, consumption patterns, lead times, and stock movement trends to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Calculate safety stock levels, reorder points, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and inventory planning parameters to balance service levels and working capital utilization. Build dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that provide visibility into inventory health, warehouse performance, and supply chain risks. Identify slow-moving inventory, excess stock, expiration risks, and inventory optimization opportunities through quantitative analysis. Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, operations, and production teams to align material planning activities with production schedules and business requirements. Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and ensure alignment between operational forecasts and purchasing activities. Review and improve data quality within ERP, inventory management, and operational reporting systems. Present forecasting results, inventory analyses, and business recommendations to management teams and key stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or other quantitative disciplines. Minimum 5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, Operations Analytics, Data Analysis, or related functions. Proven experience within agriculture, feedmill operations, food manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain, distribution, manufacturing, or other high-volume operational industries. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, demand forecasting methodologies, safety stock calculations, MRP processes, and supply chain planning concepts. Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, scenario analysis, and large dataset management. Experience utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise platforms. Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms is highly preferred. Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools is considered a strong advantage. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, attention to detail, and ability to convert data into actionable business recommendations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across operations, supply chain, procurement, and management teams. Willingness to travel frequently to operational sites and work within environments requiring strict compliance with biosecurity and operational procedures.
