Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a multinational industrial company. As part of its continued expansion in Indonesia, our client is seeking an experienced commercial leader for the position of Country Manager. The job is based in Batam, Indonesia. Key job responsibilities include:Lead and oversee the company's overall operations in Indonesia, including commercial, customer service, operational, and support functionsTake full ownership of the country's P&L performance, ensuring achievement of financial and business objectivesDevelop and execute business strategies to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market expansionIdentify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers and key stakeholdersBuild and maintain strategic partnerships to support business development initiativesDrive operational excellence by optimizing processes, workflows, and organizational effectivenessMonitor financial performance, KPIs, and operational metrics, implementing improvement initiatives where requiredRecruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, and employee development programsFoster a collaborative and performance-driven culture across the organizationWork closely with regional leadership to ensure alignment with corporate strategies, policies, and business objectivesEnsure compliance with all local regulations, corporate governance standards, and statutory reporting requirementsRepresent the company in Indonesia and strengthen its market presence and reputation Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master's Degree is an advantageMinimum 10 years of experience in commercial leadership, sales management, business development, or general management rolesProven track record of driving business growth, revenue generation, and market developmentExperience managing customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and key commercial activitiesDemonstrated experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance managementStrong leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teamsExcellent commercial acumen, business judgment, and strategic thinking capabilitiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skillsExperience working within multinational organizations is preferredAbility to operate effectively in a dynamic and growth-oriented environmentWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as requiredFluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken; Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage
