Role OverviewYear1 or2 Homeroom Teacher – British Curriculum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a full‑time teaching role for a qualified primary teacher. The teacher will support young learners through engaging classroom teaching, strong pastoral care, and structured British curriculum delivery. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, UAE British curriculum experience, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to join immediately.ResponsibilitiesTeach Year1 orYear2 students in line with British curriculum standards and school academic expectations.Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support literacy, numeracy, science, social development, communication, and age‑appropriate learning.Create a safe, inclusive, positive, and stimulating classroom environment for young learners.Manage daily homeroom routines, classroom organization, student behaviour, and learning transitions.Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, learning resources, assessments, displays, and homework tasks.Monitor student progress through observation, classwork, formative assessment, and regular feedback.Support students with different learning needs through differentiated instruction and individual attention.Encourage curiosity, confidence, independence, teamwork, creativity, and positive learning habits.Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, student progress, and classroom documentation.Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress, wellbeing, classroom expectations, and school updates.Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership to maintain high teaching standards.Follow KHDA framework expectations, school policies, safeguarding procedures, and student wellbeing requirements.Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, school events, professional development, and wider school activities.Support the school’s vision, values, and commitment to quality early primary education.Ideal ProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education is mandatory.Minimum 1 year of UAE experience in a British curriculum school is required.Experience teaching Year1, Year2, or lower primary students is preferred.Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.Knowledge of KHDA framework expectations is preferred.Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.Ability to create an engaging, child‑centred, and inclusive learning environment.Good understanding of early primary learning, student wellbeing, and age‑appropriate teaching strategies.Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.Professional, caring, patient, and committed to student development.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, coordinators, and school leadership.Candidate must be physically present in the UAE.Candidates on their own visa or spouse visa will be preferred.Immediate joiners will be preferred.SkillsYear1 teachingYear2 teachingHomeroom teachingBritish curriculumPrimary educationLower primary teachingLesson planningClassroom managementStudent assessmentLiteracy supportNumeracy supportStudent wellbeingDifferentiated instructionParent communicationKHDA frameworkEarly primary learningClassroom routinesStudent engagementAcademic recordsSafeguarding awarenessUAE British curriculum experienceEnglish communicationOwn visaSpouse visaImmediate joiningSalaryMonthly: 7000–10000 AED (market estimated). #J-18808-Ljbffr
