Role Overview Responsible for managing the wine program and beverage experience at the venue. The role ensures optimal wine selection, pairing recommendations, and inventory management, while enhancing the overall guest dining experience. The Sommelier works closely with the culinary and service teams to deliver high-quality beverage service that complements the menu and maintains the restaurant’s standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities Wine & Beverage Program Management: Curates, maintains, and updates the wine list and beverage offerings in alignment with the restaurant’s concept and menu. Ensures variety, quality, and availability of wines and other beverages. Guest Experience & Wine Pairing: Provides personalized wine recommendations and pairings to guests based on menu selections and preferences. Educates guests about wine characteristics, regions, and service etiquette. Inventory & Supplier Coordination: Manages beverage inventory, monitors stock levels, and liaises with suppliers to source high-quality wines and beverages. Ensures proper storage, handling, and rotation of all wine and beverage stock. Team Collaboration & Training: Works closely with the service team and chefs to coordinate wine service and pairing recommendations. Trains front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, tasting techniques, and presentation standards. Tasting & Events: Organizes wine tastings, promotional events, and staff education sessions. Represents the restaurant at wine-related events and maintains knowledge of industry trends. Reporting & System Oversight: Maintains accurate records of wine inventory, sales, and guest preferences. Prepares reports on wine performance, stock turnover, and guest feedback. Qualifications Previous experience as a Sommelier or Beverage Manager in a fine dining environment Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, and vintages Certified Sommelier (WSET, CMS, or equivalent preferred) Excellent guest engagement and communication skills Strong commercial understanding of wine sales and margins #J-18808-Ljbffr
