Position Overview The Department of Civil Engineering (CVE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a faculty position (assistant, associate, or full professor) commencing in Fall Semester 2026. The role may be a regular position or a visiting faculty position. The regular position is a three‑year renewable contract, while the visiting position is a one‑year renewable contract focused primarily on teaching. Responsibilities For a regular faculty: establish a high‑level, active research program supported by internal and external funding sources. For a visiting faculty: primarily focused on teaching civil engineering courses. Qualifications PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, and experience in the American model of higher education, highly desirable. Regular faculty applicants should have a specialty in construction engineering, construction management, or digital construction. Visiting faculty applicants can be in any specialty within civil engineering.
