Registered Nurse - Operating Room

ResponsibilitiesRendering professional nursing care to patients within the operating theatre, ensuring nursing care is an integral part of total patient care. Working in conjunction with medical staff and following hospital policies and procedures. Implementing and delivering age‑appropriate patient care congruent with the organization's mission, vision, and values. Collaborating with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams for effective patient management.

Liaising with other health‑care providers to ensure appropriate and timely interventions and discharge planning. Providing comprehensive clinical handover reports using SBAR principles. Establishing priorities of care, nursing actions, and desired outcomes in a timely manner. Managing clinical and operational activities to ensure optimum clinical care, customer satisfaction, and patient safety. Adapting to varied age‑specific patient populations.

Demonstrating maturity and accountability for job performance. Maintaining effective rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, subordinates, and directors. Using good judgment and analytical ability in preparing work for review. Promoting confidentiality and exercising complete discretion when discussing information. Working collaboratively with other staff members to provide continuous service. Expressing self in communication—verbal, written, and non‑verbal.

Demonstrating knowledge of current computer systems used in the organization. Demonstrating adherence to safety and risk‑management policies as evidenced by in‑service attendance records and employee practices. QualificationsGraduate from a School of Nursing with not less than 3 years of study duration from an accredited program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or Master of Nursing / Health Services Management. Maintains a valid, current RN licence from own country.

BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP certified. Certified proof of yearly CME. Specialist Nursing certifications such as Operating Theatre or Paediatric Nursing are advantageous. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience within the OT. Ability to influence and implement change. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Organized and able to work methodically. Excellent leadership skills.

Ability to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds. Fluent in both written and spoken English. #J-18808-Ljbffr. Compensation: 80 - 120.
