PLC & Scada Engineer - Water or Wastewater Treatment projects

The PLC & SCADA Engineer will design, develop, test, commission, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. The role involves integrating instrumentation, electrical systems, VFDs, analyzers, and field devices to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems as per project specifications Develop control philosophies, I/O lists, network architecture, and automation documentation Configure communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC Develop SCADA graphics, alarms, historical trending, reporting, user access, and security features Conduct FAT, SAT, I/O testing, loop checks, commissioning, and plant start-up support Troubleshoot automation, instrumentation, and communication issues Integrate field instruments such as flow, pressure, and level transmitters, and water quality analyzers Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams during installation and commissioning Prepare FDS, operation manuals, commissioning reports, as-built documentation, and program backups

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering 3–8 years of industrial automation experience, including at least 5 years in water or wastewater treatment projects Hands‑on experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols #J-18808-Ljbffr. Compensation: 120 - 180.
