voco Dubai Palm The Palm is conveniently located on the trunk of the manmade island while being part of “Palm West Beach”, a trendy and vibrant spot with an array of exceptional dining concepts. Your day to day As a Housekeeping Intern – you’ll make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in - or get a bit oflast-minutework done. Your

responsibilities are: Attend shift briefing, receive daily room assignments through the Message Box Application, and sign in for master keys. Keep trolley organized, clean, and fully stocked with linen, guest supplies, amenities, and cleaning chemicals at all times. Clean all assigned guestrooms according to the day's

requirements and in compliance with IHG Way of Clean standards and hotel procedures. Ensure all room statuses are updated accurately and in real time through the Message Box Application, including Cleaned, DND, Refused Service, Sleep Out, Out of Order, Out of Service, and any other applicable status. Acknowledge, action, and close all assigned tasks, guest requests, and service orders through the Message Box Application within the established service standards.

When making beds and changing linen, ensure all linen items are clean, well-presented, free from stains, tears, or damage. Ensure guestrooms, bathrooms, balconies, corridors, and assigned service areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. Immediately report any maintenance defects, damages, safety hazards, unusual observations, or guest concerns to the Floor Supervisor and update them through the Message Box Application where applicable.

Immediately report any room status discrepancies to the Floor Supervisor. Follow up on DND and Refused Service rooms in accordance with hotel procedures and ensure the status is accurately updated in the Message Box Application. Ensure all assigned rooms and tasks are completed and updated in the Message Box Application upon completion.

Immediately report any lost and found through message box application with the item details any valuable items must be handed over to the Floor Supervisor or Security office in accordance with hotel procedures. Exercise extreme care and integrity when handling guests' belongings and valuable items found in guestrooms. Maintain linen rooms, pantries, and service areas in a clean, organized, and hygienic condition at all times.

Ensure guest corridors, lift landings, and assigned public areas are maintained in a clean and presentable condition. Execute any additional tasks and assist with special projects as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Senior Housekeeping Supervisor, or Housekeeping Management, including deep cleaning programs and special cleaning assignments.

Ensure hotel policies relating to fire, hygiene, health, safety, security, and company rules and regulations are understood and followed at all times. Use all housekeeping equipment and systems responsibly, including but not limited to trolleys, vacuum cleaners, carpet machines, and the Message Box Application. Ensure the proper use and control of guest supplies, amenities, linen, and chemicals to minimize wastage and control costs.

Attend training sessions, departmental meetings, and briefings as required. Continuously update knowledge of hotel facilities, services, promotions, and activities and provide accurate information to guests when required. Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times. At the end of the shift, ensure all assigned tasks and room statuses are accurately updated in the Message Box Application, return keys to the Security cabin and sign off duty.
